The Times of Trouble
December 2, 2011 on 5:53 pm | In Forgiveness | No CommentsI am going through a particularly rough patch of life at the moment. I am without a job, my savings are all but gone, and the prospects aren’t looking very good of getting a job anytime soon. I will probably be evicted from my home when the bank auctions it off just before Christmas.
All I can say is my God can supply all my needs. I may not have any idea what those needs are, I mean, I think I know what I need, but God is the ultimate giver of all good things! I am looking at Him and thanking Him for what He has in store for me, even though I cannot see it. He has never let me down in my whole life, so I will keep my faith, I will believe, and I will look to Him for grace in my life, thank You, Lord!
I can say that all I own is my Faith, everything else I have is on loan!
God Bless each of you who reads this, and may you have a very Merry Christmas!
Great birthday for Clifton

It has been too long since I was here!
March 13, 2009 on 9:54 pm | In Forgiveness | 2 CommentsI want to apologize to everyone who comes here to read my rantings. I have been negligent in my blog duties, but I think facebook is the problem…
I have been servicing God with all my heart, and I am blessed by all the friends that I have. God has given me the ability to see our pastor’s vision and he has asked me to put together the countdowns and the media presentation. An awesome responsibility, but with God’s help I get it done every week. And I am having fun, too!
I pray right now for my readers, that they are not being hurt too badly by the worldwide economic downturn. If you have Jesus in your heart, you will be able to get through with His help, and He did promise to help us. Even the small stuff, ask and it shall given to you.
Hopefully I won’t be gone for so long, but however long it is, may God Bless you and keep you in His stead.
God Bless all of you!
Super Tuesday is History
February 6, 2008 on 3:04 pm | In Political | 4 CommentsMike Huckabee has placed a respectable third, which is fine with me. I think the pull he has will get John McCain to listen to the “other” side of the Republican sphere. John McCain still scares me, with the reports on his temper flaring everywhere, what chance will he have without Mike Huckabee to calm him down?
Mike is correct in staying the course. His ideas are much more sound than Mitt Romney’s. As our representative at the convention, Gov. Huckabee can get our agenda passed as part of the platform the the winner will run on.
I say it ain’t over, yet.
I say Merry Christmas!
December 24, 2007 on 4:55 pm | In Forgiveness | 3 CommentsI say Merry Christmas to everyone! Why? Because that is the holiday I celebrate. If you celebrate other names during this same holiday season, then respond to me with the wishes of your holiday. I understand that!
It could be that you celebrate the “Holiday Season”, the “Winter Solstice”, ” Hanukkah”, or “Ramadan”. It does not matter to me what you celebrate during this holiday season at the end of the year, just celebrate it, OK?
Telling me I should be PC (Politically Correct) and just be generic in my greeting is against my religion. You see, I am a Christian, and I celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I say Merry Christmas.
I beg you, do not respond to me in a negative way when I say Merry Christmas as it is not meant to hurt you in any way, it is just my greeting at this time of year. It is my way of being joyful!
Mike Huckabee Wishes You A Merry Christmas!

ModsetNeeds.org Can Help You Be The Light At This Time Of Year.
December 11, 2007 on 4:33 pm | In Forgiveness | 3 CommentsI was sitting here at my desk wondering why I do not decorate at Christmastime. Can I honestly say that it because I am too lazy? That could be part of it, but I think it is more that if I do decorate I feel I am falling into the commercialization that has taken over the celebration. I really think that my money is better spent by giving to my favorite charities like ModestNeeds.org .
Dr. Taylor has a mission to give a “Hand Up’ to people who are unable to qualify for other kinds of help. They are people like Gabriella whose son has Asperger’s Syndrome. This is an affliction that means Brandon has no common social skills, and consequently, no friends because he has no way of being ‘nice’ to others. There are camps at certain times of the year that help people like Brandon develop those skills that we all take for granted. Gabriella could not afford to send Brandon to camp, and her insurance would not cover it. She appealed to the members of Dr. Taylor’s website and received the needed funding for the camp. Please read the complete story here, and then you too, can sign up to help people like her.
These are the types of things that I do to help give light at Christmastime. There are other places that you can help all around the world, or even in your own locality. Do a search on Google for charities in your city, or volunteer oportunities in your area. Get busy showing your light to others who can use a “Hand Up”.
If you are at that point in your life where you need that “Hand Up” do not hesitate, go immediately to ModestNeeds.org and fill out an application for a grant. Please do not let your pride get in the way of your needs, get help today.

Someone Is Waiting For You Today.
November 16, 2007 on 6:48 pm | In Forgiveness | 3 CommentsThis morning I was at our church office at 6AM. You see, we have Men’s Prayer Group. The men of the church meet to pray for our needs and the needs of the church as well as the community and the world. While I was waiting, i was reading Acts 3 and 4.
Peter and John were going to the Temple to pray and teach, and they came upon a lame man at the Gate Beautiful. He was always there to beg alms, but the interesting thing to me is that there was someone who put him there every day to beg. What was their motivation? Did they have jobs, and if they did, why weren’t they taking care of this lame man? Did they really expect him to pull his own weight? Maybe the lame man’s pride kept him from relying on others.
Lucky for him, Peter passed by and offered his hand and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and when the lame man took Peter’s hand he immediately received strength in his legs and ankles.
Acts 3:8-9 Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God. All the people saw him walking and praising God.
The people who were at the temple saw him and they were amazed. They knew who he was, they had seen him every day! Peter told them not to be amazed, as he was not the one who performed the miracle, that Jesus Christ did it.
Do you have someone in your life that you need to reach out to? Someone you see everyday? They are just waiting for someone to help them, will you be that someone? Or will you pass by…again?
